God is Big and I Am Small

In the past couple days and weeks, it has been brought to my attention that God is so big, and I am so small. God created the entire world. Every nation. Every majestic wonder in nature. He created all the mountains and the oceans. In Exodus when all of the people were trying to figure out how to build a structure that led to Heaven, they started arguing with each other. The Lord separated the nations by creating different languages. It is so strange to think about the different cultures and languages that stem from being in a different culture. Our problems that we face during the day may seem so big to us at the time. But we are so small. And our time on this earth is so short compared to the eternity we will have the chance to spend worshipping God. I don’t know about you, but that makes me want to spend the time I have here seeing all of God’s creation and appreciating it. It makes me want to follow God’s commands and remember that He is so big, so He has everything under control. So, if you are struggling today with your commitment to have purity, remember how small you are. God is big, and He loves you more than we will ever be able to comprehend. Pray that God covers over your temptations so that you can resist them. Nothing worldly will matter at all in just a short time. So, I challenge you today to appreciate something in nature that God created. Spend quiet time in the mountains or by a river. If you are really ambitious, travel to a different culture and see a different people group that God created so uniquely. It will change your perspective on how you see the Lord.
