Temptations Are Very Real

Purity is a big struggle in the culture of the world today. And keeping your eyes and mind focused on remaining pure can be so hard when finding the right guy is hopeless. I know where you are right now if you are feeling hopeless and beaten down, and I want to give you some encouragement to keep purity a priority.

My Grace is sufficient for you, for my Power is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

The Grace of the Lord is provided to cover your weaknesses. Weakness shows the Lord’s power to overcome the weakness. Trust that the Lord will provide power and grace in your weakness. Worship God in the times of weakness and temptations.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

First of all, isn’t it great to know that you are not suffering the battle of temptations alone? Everyone in the world battles temptation of one thing or another. It is normal to struggle with right and wrong and the temptation to do something you know you should not do. Secondly, God is Faithful. He is so faithful. I find so much peace in that statement. God will be there through every temptation you face. You can call on him to give you strength or just to cry out to Him to tell Him that you are really struggling to do the right thing. Thirdly, God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. He may use a temptation to help you grow in a certain area or have a choice between the temptation and your growth in God, but He will not tempt you with more than you can handle.

Remember these verses when you are feeling hopeless and beaten down by temptations. Keep your eyes and mind on the Lord, and trust that He will provide strength in times of weakness.
